Antique Lighting

My home is now 25 years old and a solid desert home it is! This light hangs over my dining room table and is the original lamp as is the light over the front door inside.

I’ve thought about replacing them but obviously haven’t as there are other things I would love to do here like replace the old floor tiling which I don’t think was done by a professional.

New windows would be great too as these old ones don’t seal as well as they should. They say a boat is a hole in the water into which one pours money. I think the same thing applies to your home!

And I own this place outright… Silly photos ↓

  1. That is a nice light but yes something always needs fixing in older homes. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy new as you get older and more battle worne.

  2. I know what you mean. There’s always something that needs replacing or fixing up in a house. Light fixtures aren’t always at the top of the priority list.

  3. John, photos are great! Light, shadows and contrast are wonderful. It’s a very interesting lamp and strong. Perhaps, I am an antique also but pretend that I am not 🙂

    • I don’t k ow how old you are, Richard, but some days I feel like an antique. I feel lethargic today…
