This photo of Lone Mountain was taken today from roughly due-north of the little Lone Mountain that stands around 600 feet high. To enter the trail, you enter from the northwest or so, there is ample parking. I tried to climb this years ago but my body said no way man!

Cool photo, I am not great at climbing either especially if it might be steep. I walk a lot better on flat ground lol
Me too, flat is good!
The trails there can be very steep and narrow, I think. I probably would give up on them. The mountain is very impressive, John!
Thanks, Kaya! Families hike this 600 foot mountain but I can’t make it. Getting old sucks!
Somehow that reminds me of “A” Mountain just west of Tucson.
It’s called A mountain? Hmmm…
Yes, it has a large letter “A” (for the University of Arizona) on the side of the peak that is visible from all over town.
Oh, okay, thanks for this! Boulder City has a huge letter B on a mountainside, it’s white.
To be fair, it does look like a steep hike and I imagine it would be tough to do in the heat.
It is very steep in some places along the trail, too much for me and my health. It is recommended that people not hike in the canyons in summer, it’s just too dangerous for the human body. Yet, people do it and have been hospitaised. Duh.
