I think that most of us liked clowns when we were children, but as you have grown older, do you find them to be very creepy? The clown in the photo is for the Circus Circus venue along Las Vegas Boulevard. They have a new TV commercial now that shows two new rides on the property. Those rides make me puke!
I have never been to that venue partly because of the clowns, but mostly because the place caters to families. Too noisy for me, haha! The rock photo was taken along a trail in Calico Basin a while back, I really should go back and take a slow, easy hike, it offers so many lovely photo opportunities. Maybe tomorrow?
I love the colours and patterns on the rock. I’ve always found clowns creepy and terrifying, even more so as a child. No thanks.
Thank you! Clowns need a punch in the nose! 😂
Nobody in my family likes clowns. My son didn’t even want to go to Circus Circus in Vegas because of them!
I don’t blame him! Maybe you remember Bozo The Clown from long ago, he seemed okay to me as a kid but not these days…
Oh yes, Bozo. I’ve never liked clowns (probably because my Mom doesn’t either) and Bozo freaked me out! Lol, as an adult I’m not scared of them but I still don’t like them!
Hey Bozo, how are! 😂
I’ve never liked circuses or clowns. The abuse of animals for our entertainment is unacceptable to me, and I must have sensed that was the case as a child when I saw lion “tamers” in action. Clowns just were scary, then creepy as I got older (John Wayne Gacy comes to mind…!)
I guess many of us have gone through that journey with clowns. The rock photo is wonderful
Thanks, Derrick!
No, John. Center is not wrong. It’s the American spelling. Centre is British spelling, that’s all. Both are correct so you can use either.
Oh, okay. My spell check doesn’t like anything but Center. Thanks, Anneli! Centre. 😂
That’s because it is set to check for anything that is not US spelling.
Yeah, I can switch it to UK but nah. My navagation voice on my iPhone is set to a British female voice, sounds nice. 😂
I have mine set to US, but I still like to use some of my favourite Br. words (just a few), like the “our” words (colour, neighbour, etc.)
I don’t know about most children but I remember the first time we took our granddaughter Maddy to a parade. She was sixteen months old and in her stroller – front row centre. She was not impressed by the clowns and even less so with the mascots in the parade. Everytime one came near her she would look at her mother and roll her eyes like “really? These guys are embarrassing!”. It was so funny. She was such a little doll but the expressions she was making just slayed. 😂
Awww that sounds so beautiful! God bless your family. 🙏🏻 I like how you spell Centre. Our way is just plain old wrong… My spell check doesn’t like the R and E switched!
Lol. We have lots of words like that. It must be the French influence.
I see this as a very British spelling. I love our common language, it’s so elegant in a way and also very complicated for non-English speakers to learn. the UK, Australia, Canada and The States… 🇬🇧🇦🇺🇺🇸🇨🇦
