The snow can linger on the top of Mount Charleston long into the spring. I took these photos on the way home from my attempt to get some photos at the Neon Museum.

Nice framing – the massive mountains are gorgeous.
Thank you, Shelley! I love those mountains.
Gorgeous sunny day John . Beautiful mountains in the distance.

Thank you Anita! ❤️☺️
Photos of that highway leading to the mountain just never get old! Love it. 💞
Thanks so much, Anne!! That’s another reason why I love this desert so much. The desert just stretches on and on and on!
Kind of like our prairies! No claustrophobia here. 🤗
Those prairies allow the wind and storms to travel very fast I’m sure.
Sometimes and when is -40 it doesn’t take much wind to make things real ugly. 🙄
The coldest I have experienced is -30F, that’s deep cold!
Honestly, I can’t handle anything under -20 so after that point the actual temperature becomes irrelevant.
Either way it’s enough to freeze you into a solid piece of ice!
A beautiful sunshine, John! On the first photo the road is very inviting. It leads to the mountains.
Great photos!!!
Yes, you can get to the base of those mountains where there are homes and more. I don’t know why it didn’t show up for you then, but it’s there now. I will take your other comment down. Las Vegas Valley is roughly 20×30 miles. And, two million people live in it!
