This old pond is a part of a drainage system that removes water from a marsh about one-quarter mile west of this location. The water eventually makes its way into the south branch of the Flint River, then Lake Huron.

Nice gentle rippling
Thanks very much, Derrick! This is my fav of the three too.
A perfect day there, I see.
Oh yeah, K! The temperature, the gentle breeze and all of that green!
Sounds perfect.
Pretty spot!
Oh yes! Just don’t try to run the lawn mower around the far end, you’ll sink into the very soft mud.
Do I hear the voice of experience speaking?
You bet, I worked there as the only guy cutting about 13 acres of grass by myself for nearly 20 years. And weed whipping it. And using a huge Ford tractor with tires as tall as me to pull a huge brush hog to mow the field you see which is MUCH larger than what the photo shows. And, an extensive trail system in the woods using a smaller tractor and hog. Good days, I do miss them!
Big job!
A great job for a guy with good health, but not today… Time.
