This photo was taken a few days ago with the Nikon Z50 with the Nikkor 18-140mm lens. A lens with more reach would be nice but lenses are very expensive. These are processed a bit differently than usual.

What a colour that sky is. Amazing.
Hi Vinny, thanks! The valley has 300+ days per year of sunshine which is one of several reasons I stayed here after my divorce in 2016. No more cold weather and snow!
Your Nikon takes great photos. The blue skies are so nice over the strip!
Aww than you, Shelley! This Nikon is a smaller body which is so nice, it’s easy to hold when shooting. It’s a Nikon Z50 with a Nikkor 18-140mm lens, has a bit of zoom. A 300mm or more would be better for those long distance shots. Link: https://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/mirrorless/z_50/
Thanks for the link and the tips. I’ve had my Canon for almost 10 years – I don’t know if I could get used to a different model. I do want to get a new camera, so I appreciate you sharing the link to yours. I made note so I can add it to my research when I make the leap to a new camera.
That’s cool, you are welcome. Never be afraid to try any new camera regardless of brand. It’s always going to be a learning curve regardless so go for it!
🙂 So true…eventually my favorite gloves wear out and I have to buy new. My camera has been so faithful and trustworthy. One of these days something will stop working and I’ll cry! And then buy a new one…
It’s like an old pair of jeans, right!
Indeed!
You did well
Thanks so much, Derrick. 🌞
I can remember seeing a sky that colour once or twice…. It was a while ago.
Oh man, that’s one big reason I stayed here, Anneli. I hope you’ve seen some sunshine today.
Maybe five minutes. Seriously. It’s been like a rainforest here today.
Bummer, could you arrange for some rain to come down here? Lake Mead will be so happy…
I don’t think the rain has stopped here since Friday night and this is Sunday morning. Maybe we’ll get a break tomorrow. I’d be happy to send you a lot of it.
I see, I’ve seen that happen in Michigan many times Anneli, I call them an All Day Soaker. Spell Check doesn’t like my word Soaker. 😂 I hope you get some sunshine!
Too bad about the spellchecker. Soaker is definitely a word, especially on the west coast.
You can’t fully trust them can you…
Never.
I willl trye to sphell coretahly! 😂
Sumtiems speling rong is funn.
