This is a large dead tree with a mostly hollow center processed in iColorama, Aurora HDR and Photoscape X. The dead tree is in Michigan, photographed with iPhone 11 on a trip home a while back.

Neat picture! I love the swirl in the wood.
Thank you! ❤️
Wow! Interesting subject and great shot!
Thanks so much!
You’re welcome!
Lovely shape and artful processing John, beautiful 😀
thanks so much, Tone! That tree was massive, must have been 150 years old.
Here we call it heart rot. There is a type of fungi that can cause trees to hollow out like this 🙂
Wow, what a terrible way to die! 💀
Magical
Yes, fairies live in the trunk!
That’s a pretty special photo.
Thanks! But it’s not good Norwegian Wood… I see a bathtub in my mind.
Unique though.
Thanks, I thought of the old Beatles song for a second.
That is pretty neat. 💫
Thanks so much!!! I love the smell of fresh cut wood.
Thanks so much! ❤️
That’s a different effect. I remember when you showed some images of this cut a while back. This one and the natural shots are both good, but quite different.
Thanks! I try not to be redundant, I don’t get out much these days for better subjects. That tree was sooo rotten. It was leaning and had to come down.
