It Takes A Big Bar…

To cut through a tree trunk that massive! And the guy I used to work with for many years there has decades of experience using chainsaws. If you are not sure what a bar is regarding a chainsaw, the bar is the long part sticking out from the engine which carries the chain round and round.

Always be sure that your Bar Oil tank is full before your begin and that the chain is properly tensioned too. This photo is about two years old, the other one that I messed up real nice was taken yesterday.

    • Clouds are made of water so you are not actually wrong, right? Thanks, Derrick! I have never used the reader thing…

    • Some chainsaws are small and have short bars on them so that tree companies can use them for pruning like they do with my palm trees. I watched the tree trunk being sliced through, amazing to watch!

      • I would go out to get wood with my husband and our neighbour. They would chop down a tree, I would cut the branches off with my small chainsaw, then they would cut up the trunk with their big chainsaws and I would put all the pieces into our truck. We had a system. Until our neighbour swung a big trunk around one day and knocked me out of the truck. Then they wouldn’t take me anymore. 😧. (Like it was my fault that I was doing what I was supposed to be doing. 😞).
