I placed a magnifier over the original boat ramp, it’s inside the circle, the last photo. Does this give you a better idea of just how terribly low Lake Mead is? It’s amazing to see this beautiful area that I know very well from my day trips from a few thousand feet above as the aircraft approaches McCarran International.

so beautiful, so beautiful. Thank you, Love, nia
I just read recently that the Lake rose during the storms and they adjusted the boat ramp. Was that false?
I heard that it rose 15 inches which is great, but not much help either.
The lake is pretty low, John. I agree, those are beautiful aerial shots.
Thank you!!! I find it scary that the lake is incredibly low, the turbines at the dam may not be able to generate electricity at some point. Wow…
I noticed the drying up as well. None the less, great areal shots.
Thank you! Sometimes the iPhone can get a decent flight photo!
It’s drying up all right!
Hi Anneli, it’s darn scary, isn’t it! I ran the idea of leaving Las Vegas because of this by my dad and sister. Neither thought that was a good idea! 👍🏻😂
I’m sure there are other reasons to leave there – the heat, for one!
I take the heat in stride thanks to air conditioning. Then there is the traffic and a few snotty people. Still, not enough to make me wanna move away.
