Hehehe… I was not being serious, Anne Marie. Las Vegas is a weird place in terms of some of the people, but they can buzz off. I am here for the wonderful climate year-round. I had a chat with a woman this morning while getting an overdue pedicure. She has family in Michigan so we had common ground to talk on. She has been in Vegas for a long time but wants to move back to Michigan. Michigan will always be home for me, but it’s also just a short flight home. Even my dad says I am in a good place, stay there!
Your Dad is probably right! My granddaughter was accidentally in Michigan when you were there. They were in Sault St Marie and Google maps sent them to the Walmart across the border. 😂
Ooops! Apparently there were no border officers.
Oh there were but they obviously let them across. (They did have passports and no criminal history. ☺️).
Hmm, why do they have passports when they are staying in Canada?
Genie didn’t know if they were taking the Canadian or the American route when they drove to Toronto. Most people take the American one.
Oh, okay. I didn’t know that the route on this side is shorter. Probably the 94 freeway.
I think it is about the same but a lot quicker because much better highways than the Canadian route (around all the lakes, bridges, etc). But there were lots of Canadians making the trek (some without passports) and the girl who was driving with Genie was more familiar with the Canadian route so they took that one.
I see, I would love to drive the Trans Canada highway. 🇨🇦
Apparently it is just gorgeous east of Winnipeg, Manitoba. (And west of Calgary is very scenic)
I would like to see that! I follow a couple that lives in Calgary, I met them here in Vegas maybe two years ago at one of the big venues and bought them lunch, we follow each other on WP and IG.
I’ve driven west to Vancouver Island (wasn’t a fan). Would love to go East!
