A Small Cell, An Ancient Shell?

The photo of the black boxes on top of a pole supporting the traffic lights is a part of the cell phone system. Sometimes there are gaps in the coverage from the individual cell towers, these miniature cells fill in the gaps or holes in the system which hopefully prevent your call from being dropped.

I can’t recall where I found that shell, but it looks like it could be very ancient. I can’t prove that but look how different it is compared to seas shells today. This area was underwater in an ancient sea 200 million years ago so perhaps it is that old.
