The burnt tree looks kind of spooky, but in a good way. Lovely captures of the cacti in bloom. Who knew something so prickly could produce such pretty blooms.

Indeed, that fire was really bad. It burnt up lots of old Joshua trees too on Kyle Canyon Road which is one of two main roads leading into our beautiful Spring Mountains. Thank God for our brave men and women who battle these blazes.
Definitely jacket weather here with a high of 52. Had a hard frost last night, which usually doesn’t happen for about three more weeks on average. Love the cacti. The black and white shot of the tree looks like it could be from a dystopian, apocalyptical world.

Yeah, that’s a ways north! Michigan, my home state got 16 inches of snow in the Yooper the last day or two. Brrr!
