No sunshine, a steady wind, and rain today, very much unlike a typical day in Las Vegas. The 4000 or 5000-foot mountain west of me is mostly shrouded in clouds. This weather is so typical in Michigan, a little taste of home! I’m sure that the ski lodge near Mount Charleston is getting lots of snow up there.

Gorgeous shot. I love how stormy it is in the fall.
Thank you! It’s all sunshine this morning but 55 degrees and windy.
A fine atmospheric photograph. I’ll bet you needed the rain
Oh yes, big time and rain it did. The side of my house flooded just a bit outside.
Beautiful photo John. Still stormy here. LOVE IT!
Thanks so much, Cindy. It rained pretty good all through yesterday which is so wonderful!
Great capture, John. I agree that mist really creates a nice contrast between the mountains and the trees.
Just like the lake I remember in Michigan when the spring approaches and the melting ice on the lake creates its own fog. Memories…
The mist in the background “makes” the picture.
I totally agree, Anneli! I love seeing the cloud deck down so low, my place is around 2800 feet above sea level, or ASL. It’s no wonder why my ears pop when driving up the slopes on the west side.
