These photos are from this afternoon, the Stratosphere Tower is seen several miles east of my location on Sahara Avenue. You have got to be on your defensive when driving here, there are so many nutter drivers man, stay alert! The flag at this gas station needs to be replaced because it is tattered which I think is wrong. The other photo is driving north on Buffalo Avenue with a bit of a mountain seen in the extreme distance. It was 66 today so I squeezed in a quick bike ride. Nikon Z50 with Nikkor 140mm lens.
I don’t think the Flag is to bad, yet.
As for the Strat…I miss it. I used to see it from the porch of the last place I lived.
The flag is bad enough, our windstorms will increase in frequency soon I think, so that flag will be ripped up in time. It’s a disrespect toward the country. That is what I was taught. 🇺🇸
Personally, I think there is something poignant about fading, tattered flags. Bright, new ones just don’t express the strength and endurance of a country in my mind.
That is an interesting perspective, Anne Marie. I was taught that a tattered flag is disrespectful to my country. I guess I am the only one? 🫢😂
I don’t know. In Canada, we don’t fly as many flags as in the USA. Mostly just on government buildings. Maybe I notice them most in war movies when the troops are marching home and their flags are all tattered and torn. So emotional. 😢
I don’t like when flags get tattered! I hope they replace it. Lucky you going for a bike ride! Our bikes are put away until probably April-May. Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes I presume ,comments are not in spam then. My style is to interact with the person, view first few blogs of the person. If they care to respond, I interact further. A spammer will not tell this much I guess 😀
