At The Sponge Docks

Going back to 2015 again, these photos were taken on Alternate 19 which is just west of the big 19 which is an insanely busy road. I frequented this area when we lived in Dunedin in the early 1990s and taking my small boat with an outboard engine up the Anclote River was a favorite adventure.

Just south of this area about four miles is where the rented home was and where we lost so many of our possessions during that big storm of 1993.

  1. I often wonder how fast palm trees grow? 1993 doesn’t seem that long ago, but 30 years, hmm…that’s 3 decades so I guess a palm tree could grow quite tall in that time frame. I hope you had/have a great trip in Michigan!!!

    • Thanks, Shelley! I sure did am in Detroit at the airport. Flight heads out at 12:20. Great time with my family! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°β€οΈβ€οΈ One of the Mexican Fan Palms in my backyard has grown what must be three feet in three years since I purchased the home. Palm trees are awesome! Time passes faster as I’ve had, or so it seems which sucks. πŸ˜‚

  2. It’s such a joy to travel back in time and see these photos… especially as here in Mid Wales we’re currently engulfed in fog, so bright blue skies would get a very warm welcome!
