The Cormorant doesn’t seem like a bird that would land in a tree but they sure do. I was walking along and heard an odd noise above me, not the kind of bird call I usually hear way up high in a tree, but there they were! They are beautiful when in flight.
I’ve only ever seen them perched on posts beside a lake, or gathered on mountain sides.

Not me until I saw them way up there! I usually see them hanging around the man-made lakes near my home with their wings spread wide.
Yes, exactly. A bit like the vultures on the cardon cacti, but these guys prefer rocks.
Cacti? Ouch! There are vulters in Michigan of course, but I think we call them Turkey Buzzards.
