Thanks, Richard. I’ve seen just one set of them actually and they aren’t far from where this photo was taken. This is not our land, it belongs to the indigenous peoples.
That park is so amazing! It’s a bit of a drive north but worth it. You can pass through the park and take the drive through the Lake Mead recreation area too which takes you back south to Las Vegas.
So neat! I love the layers of colour along the rock.
All I can say is wow.
Wow that’s beautiful! Lucky you to have such gorgeous scenery so close!
Agreed. That looks like a lovely draped fabric
Wow! That is beautiful rock!
Thanks so much, Lavinia! Millions of years of erosion can make beautiful art. ❤️
Truly beautiful, John!
Hi Marcus, thank you! 😎
Marvelous! Looks like a raspberry marble cake. 🍰
Thanks Eliza, that’s a new one! Happy New Year!
I find that kind of thing really interesting. Makes me want to know what’s between all those layers – history of all sorts.
It took millions of years in the making, Anneli, so beautiful.
That’s really something
Thank you, it took millions of years to make!
Wow! Those rocks caught my attention. Thanks Anita
Thanks so much, Anita! ☺️
Wow, nature really has so much beauty to offer!
It sure does, Pooja, and it took millions of years to create!
…and the petroglyphs are the reasons I love your neck of the woods.

I’ve enjoyed Valley of Fire State Park, and went on a wild yet successful search for the flying man. (Journey included wrecking a rental car 😅)
