I dug these old photos out of my archive last night, they are I don’t know how many years old, and are at the old, smaller image size I used to use instead of the current 1500×844 for iPhone, or 1500×1000 for the Nikon photos. I should take a ride back out there! I removed the improper watermark and just left them off. 57 degrees and sunshine for the valley today, still too chilly for my bike ride.

The Hoover Dam. A wonderful example of large-scale engineering.
We drove by the Hoover Dam on our way to Death Valley last month and made a quick stop to check it out. It’s very impressive. It would be neat to take one of the tours, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time.
This is wonderful! You guys missed the summer 100+ summer heat. The Turbine Room is amazing. How the heck did these wonderful Americans build this dam with much less technology than we have today? 🇺🇸👍🏻💪🏻
Nice set, John! What an impressive structure. Love those old motel signs too.
Thank you, Belinda! They buikt that dam with lesser tech than we have today!
We have not been there yet, one day…
You will be impressed! The dam is huge and beautiful. 😎
This Hoover Dam caught my attention..we visited there several years ago .great images. Anita
Thank you, Anita! Walking on top of the dam is amazing. It’s a beautiful structure!

I just left a test comment on a post, it works! 👍🏻☺️
Nice pics. Before and after.
Thanks, Anneli, the lake is so low that it’s a bit scary. Water is life. I really should hop in the truck and head down there soon, it’s about an hour’s ride southeast to Boulder City.
