A Flying Eskimo

These airliner photos were taken the day I picked my sister up from the airport a few days ago. The other photos were taken from Lake Mead Boulevard on the east side of the city looking way down into the valley. Well, things went badly here yesterday, my sister now has Covid and I am pretty sure I do too.

Gladly, we are both double-vaccinated and double-boosted. She is staying in Henderson in a home that she and my niece rented as a part of their trip south into Arizona. The fun stops right here in Las Vegas for at least the next five days. Gosh damn virus, I hate it!

  1. Sorry to hear that your sister has COVID, especially since sheโ€™s on vacation. What a bummer that you think you have it too. Hopefully your symptoms are mild.

    • Thank you so much my friend! My sister is much worse off which totally stinks but she will recover too. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธ

    • Thanks so much! She is much worse than I am which sucks, she tested positive yesterday and is resting in a rented home in the south of the valley here. I tested negative this morning but the doctor told me to retest with a home test or come back to the clinic in two days. All I have are achy legs and a very mild cough, my lungs are clear! Her and I are both double-vaxxed and double-boosted so that will help ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

    • I believe that it does work, Anneli, the vaccine was never intended to 100% keep you from getting the virus, it just mitigates it to a greater or lesser degree.

      • Hi John, I’m sorry you and your sister are sick! I hope you both have a speedy recovery. I caught COVID last May after vaccination and booster. I was very glad to have had the shots. While I didn’t feel great while I was I’ll, it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever had. I agree that the vaccines definitely help. Take care!

        • Thanks very much! I tested negative at the clinic today, but will retest in two or three days. I have achy legs and a wee headache but otherwise I am fine. Thank you for caring! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

            • Yes indeed, this really (insert explative) sucks! Ya never kn ow what the world is gonna throw at you from day to day do we…

      • Okay, so it helps. But that’s a different definition of a vaccination than what I understood it should be. Maybe they should have called it a mitigator or something less misleading than “vaccination.” The definition of vaccination I found online is “treatment with a vaccine to produce immunity to a particular infectious disease or pathogen.”
