In My Hometown, 2017

This town is still relatively small today, but more populated than it was in the 1990s which sucks. The population increase cuts deep into the small town feel of this town amongst the corn and bean fields. Nothing stays the same does it… I came from the farm fields to Las Vegas ten years ago.

Photos were shot with the iPhone and are poor quality…

  1. Thanks for sharing these amazing photos! 🙂 I would love to experience living in a small town with a close knit community.

    • You would love it, moving to Vegas was a shock but I’ve adapted! When I return to Michigan three times a year, the landscape seems so weird. It’s so flat and there are no palm trees. 😂

    • Thanks, Anita! The tree is near a crick, so it’s roots are not holding as tightly as they could I suppose but it’s still standing!

    • Thanks! That tree has been like that since at least 1990 and still resists falling over. The ground is very wet there at times because of the nearby crick. When it spills over it’s banks, that area can become super wet.
