I have posted photos of this lovely park more than twice in this space, here is a set from a recent visit with my sister a few weeks ago. I didn’t manage to get any new photography for today, I am grateful for my very extensive photography archive. Sunshine and 91 degrees are the current weather at my home.

The fiery red rocks are beautiful. Great shots.
Mike and I love red rocks, and unfortunately we have not been to Valley of Fire yet. We will get there someday, but maybe when it’s not so hot.
Right, never in mid-summer when it could be 110 out there, too much heat to enjoy it unless you stay in the car which sucks!
We’re hikers, so we would want to be outside for sure.
Then I suggest October through April when its much cooler. I notice a yearly cycle where the hikers and rock climbers swarm my favorite areas west of the city but in summer they are all gone!
Too hot. I don’t blame them.
Wonderful and colorful rock formations John.
Thank you, Rudi! It’s a beautiful park but don’t visit in summer when it could be 110F !
Glorious
Hi Derrick, thank you! It’s super hot here in summer, 110-115F are normal. Starting late this week we will have three days of 100F !
These are gorgeous, the colors are amazing! 🤗
Thank you, Beth! 😊
Gorgeous John!
Hi Cindy, thank you so much! 🥰😊
Love it. I wish I could explore that state park.
Thank you, I would drive you to the park! It’s an hour or so north of Vegas.
That red, rusty color is amazing!
Thank you, it really is so amazing! The entire state park is fantastic. It is about one hour north of Las Vegas off the 15 freeway. ❤️
