I saw these swans skimming the surface of the lake and used every bit of the 60mm zoom the little lens had to capture the splashdown. These big birds can really move! A family of swans was lounging on the boat ramp which meant that we had to stay off of the other dock because of the two cygnets mom and dad had. They are beautiful birds but very aggressive and not a bird that you want to tangle with.

Looks very peaceful and serene. I wouldn’t want to get close to a swan either!
Looks like an amazing place.
What a beautiful and peaceful looking Lake!
Thank you, Venus. It was a beautiful place to grow up! It’s always going home when I visit my sister on the lake.
What wonderful captures John!
Thank you, Lisa! I didn’t take the 210mm lens with me to Michigan for space reasons, but the little 28-60mm lens barely pulled it off!
