Happy Monday morning, friends! I hope you all have a great week ahead. Last night there was thunder and lightning over the valley which brought more welcome rain, some areas of the valley saw flash flooding, I saw very little rain at my place but that’s fine.
The photo of the island was taken by my sister yesterday on the lake that we grew up on. It’s name is Welcome Island! As kids, we camped and played here and on the shallow sand bar on the other side of the island. Cherished memories that I have carried all these many decades!
We could sure use some rain here in southern Ontario, but we’re finally supposed to get some tonight. That looks like such a peaceful spot on the lake.

Hi Lavinia, oh yes, I feel like it was just yesterday. Being in a tent that is blowing wildly as the rain pours down around you is a very memorable moment for a young man! Late night swimming well after dark… ❤️ Ahhh the early 1970s!
