It’s Been 12 Years?

This morning I received an email from WordPress telling me I registered with them 12 years ago. Already? There was a little badge or something like that but I can’t find it now, oh well. Twelve years is a long time to be in the blogging game, isn’t it?

Las Vegas Photoblog has been on the web since 2016 which was the year of my last and final divorce, never again. On a different subject, my dad has returned to the hospital with fluid in his lungs again. This has been a recurring theme for some time now but he is likely going home today, Amen!

His heart is in end-stage failure so this is not a surprise which really sucks. Prayers for him are welcome.

I visited Downtown Summerlin the other day to swap out my iPad Air for a current 6th-generation iPad Mini, and I really like it! Smaller, lighter and it does the exact same thing of course. It cost me a few bucks to trade up though, the Apple Store gave me a $40 trade-in value for the old iPad.

The MacBook laptop may be next, I bought a larger version because the smaller version was not available at the time. And, the iPhone 12? It’s paid for and works fine, I’ll keep it.

  1. That is a long time to be blogging and I’m glad you keep deciding to share your wonderful photos and life with us!🙂 I would love to upgrade a few of my Apple products, but everything continues to work great and won’t give me an excuse. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers and thankfully your father has you and your sister to care for him at home.

    • Thank you so much. ❤️ I always say that if it works, don’t fix it but the temptation to make the change can be strong! I never thought about electronics this way years ago… The iPad Mini is the perfect size, I’m glad I made the change.

  2. So sad to hear about your dad… this news is not so positive at all. Let’s hope that all the prayers will have their effect.
Succes with your new iPad John – here we use android and windows products 😉

Your pleasant comment is welcome!
