Boulder City, Nevada

These photos are from about two years ago on one of my visits to beautiful Hoover Dam. No dam photos but I crossed the big bridge in Arizona and turned around. Digging deep into my archives, I meant to get back out there for more photos but not now. Photos via Nikon D3300.

Railroad Pass

This is Railroad Pass which these days is more about the ninety five freeway which has been rebuilt and greatly improved as it passes through on the way to the Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial bridge and into Arizona when headed south. Take the bridge walk for a beautiful view of Hoover Dam.

Old Hoover Dam Photos

I need to get back out to Hoover Dam soon before the full-on summer heat returns to the area. It can be incredibly hot in Black Canyon during the summer months! I’ve been here six years, the heat out there at Hoover Dam can still get to me more easily than it does here in the city. I also want to try the 10-20mm wide angle lens on the dam both front and back sides. There is a fair amount of walking involved to get these photos, so always wear your tennies and carry lots and lots of water with you, that’s an absolute must have!
