Random Pottery Photos

I was walking by the front door and these Navajo pottery pieces and just took three very quick photos with the Sony A7C. Not bad for a point-and-shoot set, eh? Sunshine and 91 degrees are up for today in the valley where the Vegas Golden Knights live! I’m sure that my neighbors heard me shouting out loud a few times during the game and afterward. They wanted that beautiful Stanley Cup and they got it!

The Golden Knights Win The Stanley Cup!

Hell yeah, baby, it took very few seasons for our new National Hockey League team to win the biggest prize in the NHL’s recent history if I recall correctly! I was so blown away to watch our Knights basically beat the shit out of the Florida Panthers! I am sure that the Vegas Strip is a bloody nightmare tonight! I apologise for the 100% lack of processing of these photos, but I want to spread the joy!

The NFL Draft in Las Vegas, 2022

I rarely view any television news but did so this afternoon to get the scoop on the goings-on on the Las Vegas Strip. I watched two TV stations’ coverage as the big day approaches tomorrow. It’s true what they said on the TV, no city in the world can host big events like Las Vegas can!

There’s even a large stage that’s temporarily I’m sure built over a portion of the water of the famous Bellagio Hotel Fountain. The announcer said that as many as 600,000 out-of-state people may show up for this huge event. Now, as a local, I very rarely visit the Strip because it’s always chaotic enough.

Imagine adding 600,000 more bodies into an already crowded area that is getting busier now because of the coronavirus apparently fading away which is fantastic of course. As for yours truly, I live here so nothing changes! There’s no bloody way I would go anywhere near that mega crowd! Image source.

Unfortunately for these people, the wind tomorrow will be gusting over forty miles per hour!

Hockey Face

Here’s a goofy photo for ya! During the first season for our Vegas Golden Knights hockey team I snapped this photo reacting to the game. I look as though I was in serious disagreement with a referee call! Sometimes the refs just make totally sucky calls and I never feel bad when they get bowled over by the players haha!! 😂

Get outta the way ref!!

An Old Photo in A Rough Looking Frame

This photo is not mine, but I am 100% sure it was taken 1978 in Columbiaville, Michigan. In those days the APBA had a sanctioned drag strip course on this part of the Flint River a long way from Flint, Michigan.

The driver was a good friend of my dad in those days. We were also friends with the driver in the boat beyond which was a Blown Fuel boat. Ours was Blown Alcohol engine. Lots of power at 1500+ horsepower! I was still in High School. High Skrewl.

Four Wheelin’

Here’s a set from yesterday with people riding their quads. I grew up with a quad under my bum but no longer ride these days. I really miss it! In the photos you can see the Strip and the landing field for Nellis AFB. These photos are much smaller than I usually upload as I’m having storage issues with WordPress. Each image is 250kb or less, they seem to look fine still. What do you think?
